Phil makes a welcome return with a request for information from Laurie Farrell about WWII Silks

 

The picture above is of a WWII Silk. Laurie writes: ‘They are fairly common but not a lot is known about them.’ Laurie wonders if any Members have knowledge of this aspect of WWII. He has asked in the past but nothing was forthcoming. He thinks they must have been produced when our BEF Forces were in France from 1939-1940 (Dunkirk) and the plane depicted looks like a Spitfire. Any information can be passed to the Editor and it will be sent on to Laurie.
