Editor’s Introduction

Happy Anniversary everyone ! The CSPS is now 60 years young. The first meeting to formally discuss setting up the society was held in January 1948. This year we will be marking our Diamond Jubilee in a number of ways and details are given later in this Bulletin.

As usual we are sorry to record the passing of Members and this edition brings news of the following who have sadly left us: Arthur Cranfield, Les C Elmore, Messrs P Cox,

B Dyer, DA George, A E Harland, T M P Moore and R A Parsons. The condolences of the Society have been passed on to the respective families. More detailed obituaries for Arthur Cranfield, Les Elmore and also George Degg can be found further on.

My thanks are also due to all those who have written pieces for this and future Bulletins.
