Venue for our meetings
We were told last autumn that as the remaining CS department (Revenue and Customs) was moving out of Somerset House in 2009 and the building was being sold, that we would have to find a new venue for our meetings. Your Council has been working to locate and arrange a new venue for our meetings, library and store. At the time of writing we have been told we can stay put until the end of February 2009 at least.
All members who attend our meetings will be informed by a letter once the new venue and a date are confirmed. This mailing will be based on attendance over recent months. Members who have not attended for some time (a couple of years) are reminded that they should inform the Librarian, in his capacity as Meetings Organiser, 6 weeks in advance of likely attendance as a list has to be supplied for security reasons.
